Katelynn Kozbial, LPC, LCDC

Welcome. It takes a lot of strength, vulnerability, and courage to step outside of our negative experiences and seek support. My passion is to help individuals heal, find connection with themselves, and live a life congruent with who you are, not who others want you to be.

I view therapy from a trauma-informed and person-centered lens, which means I see a person doing their best to live through human experiences, not as a patient. You are the expert in your own life and my role as a collaborative partner is to support you using the skills and tools I have learned to work towards your personal goals.

My integrated approach to therapy includes several evidenced- based practices including; attachment theory, Interpersonal Neurobiology, EMDR, Natural Lifemanship, and Motivational Interviewing. Essentially, this means that I believe a healthy, connected, secure relationship with ourselves and others is how we heal trauma and maladaptive patterns that no longer serve us.

I feel that an authentic, compassionate therapist with a dash of humor, is the key to building a connected and trusting therapeutic relationship. The relationship you will build with your horse partner and therapeutic team will foster and nurture the change you are seeking in your life. These principles are vital to the recovery process and are what drives my work as a therapist to create a safe, secure, and non-judgmental space that allows you to be curious and find meaning in your life.
